Karen Chapell is Managing Partner at Retirement Income Solutions. Karen is one of nine advisors that provides financial planning and retirement analysis for over 1,200 clients representing $1.7 billion under management.
She joined the firm in 2007 after 13 years at Beacon Investment Company. In 2012, she became a Retirement Income Solutions managing partner.

Karen earned a BA in psychology at the University of Michigan. At Beacon Investment Company, she managed client relationships for an independent investment advisory firm with more than $450 million in assets and provided discretionary investment management for individual, corporate, endowment, foundation, and institutional portfolios. In addition, she managed the team responsible for the firm’s performance measurement and reporting functions.
Karen is a past board member of The Family Learning Institute and the Cancer Support Community. She currently chairs the Staff Parish Relations Committee at Dexter United Methodist Church and is a campaign cabinet member for the United Way.
